i think you have to realize that we were probably the weakest 2 seed. how did we ever beat FAU? Maybe arkansas will win the whole thing who knows but FAU has looked good against the #1 overall seed.

and are we better than Tennessee Tech? What about Stetson? Minnesota? Duke??? - Duke baseball. without sandlin we probably would have lost to DBU the first game.

I don’t think they were close to the mid-00 teams that lost in the Supers but that was one of their best teams.

Tennessee Tech came in with crazy offensive stats. Their pitching was outstanding the last three games.

Just goes to show. I still insist that the best college team I’ve ever seen didn’t get out of their own regional (Vandy in 07)

I was being half-serious when I posted this list during the league tourney, but it is funny that most of the break-catching programs (that made the tournament) won their regional. And all the non-break catching programs did not win their regional.

Still had to beat the 1 seed. Still had to beat the 2 seed twice.

I know a team who clenched up when the cards were right before them. State took it on the chin and moved on. The fact that our fanbase gets off more to State and OM’s failures instead of focusing on our own problems shows why we are where we are.

I’ll add that Cannizaro being a sex addict was another break for them. He got fired and they’re most likely going to upgrade coaches because of it.

They’re just lucky.

The NCAA announced this morning that Vandy, not MSU, will host the super. I’m guessing the incomplete Dudy-Noble was a factor. Still, I expected them to get it.
