Not missing the point. It sucks kids are separated from their families. However it's called consequences. Not the kid's faults, but their parents made a choice and this is the consequences of their actions. I mean it's not like Trump hasn't been saying to secure our borders. We don't want refugees or anything.

Yep, and it's equally as disgusting. However, IIRC those kids weren't separated from their parents by the US government - they had crossed alone.

You are ignoring the clear fact that the govt would not take any kid away from any parent if the parent didn't bring the kid in the first place.
