Rider @ UCF (-8 UCF)

LaSalle @ Temple (-9.5 Temple)

Delaware State @ ECU (not listed yet)

Tennessee Tech @ Memphis (-14 Memphis)

Alcorn State @ Tulsa (not listed yet)

Louisiana Tech @ Wichita State (-10 WSU)

Rider is the best team in Jersey this year. Not at all surprised the line is only -8.

Better line for WSU than I would have thought. Lots of faith in Marshall.

Gonna guess Seton Hall is

An article from the Cookeville Herald-Citizen (Tn Tech is in Cookeville) states Tn Tech is missing up to four players - including three players 6-7 and over. It could account for the Tiger's double digit spread.

http://herald-citizen.com/stories/injuri...hes,31258?

? I would expect a double digit spread even with a full Tenn Tech roster. With all those missing players, I'd expect a total blowout (exhibition style).

I will spare you the litany of past haunting woes prompting my caution.

Debatable.

Hall is predicted to finish 8th in the Big East this year. Rider is predicted to finish 1st in the MAAC this year. Sports Illustrated has Hall at #94 and Rider at #108.

Very close.

Covering both ECU Mens games this week and will also go ahead and take in the Women's game on Tuesday as part of the opening night doubleheader. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance both teams give considering the coaching changes over the course of the off season as well as all of these developments in the leadership positions at ECU.

I expect that we will beat Delaware St. I know that's not a really "going out on a limb" prediction, but based on our performance vs similar teams last year with a better ECU roster, I have to be cautiously optimistic.

Even if we don't blow them out, I fully expect ECU to absolutely wear them down and grind out a W. Supposedly we were all fat and out of shape when Dooley arrived, and now everybody is under 4% body fat. (Isaac Fleming lost 20 pounds! And he's a Point Guard.)

Considering we lost narrowly to NC State and beat Wake Forest in scrimmages, I feel good about this team. Dooley has said openly that our talent level needs to increase dramatically... so this year will be hit or miss. But I fully expect our team to play hard as hell and never quit... unlike the Lebo years.

I think you must've seen that they have lost at least 4% body fat. I seriously doubt any of them are below 4% body fat.

Can't lose any of these tonight, but that's UCF game is a little scary.

Temple too. They have a habit of losing to teams they should beat, while beating teams they should lose to.

1 thing that's pretty big this year I think with the new NET ratings system taking over for RPI- when you're playing a bad team- beating them by at least 10 points is huge. I know in Ken Pom- if you are playing a bad team and it's close- you get dinged really badly.

Very true. I'd take LaSalle +8 to be honest. Intercity game, first of the year. I expect t to be really close.
