A big article in the paper today about changes that will be recommended to the NCAA executive committee on recruiting!! What they want to eliminate should save everyone some money, big money!! No more $1000 a night hotel rooms, no more flying recruits in a private plane, this is a big one!! No more $500 dinners or limo's hauling them around all weekend. Shorten the stay 36 hours, one night, instead of 48 hrs plus a few other things like other athletes can't be their only escorts!! The private plane seems to be getting the biggest screams of protest. It used OSU and K-State as examples, that the recruits would think the schools were out in the boondocks because it would take an 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive from the closest commercial airport. Those schools are yelling unfair because they don't want the recruits to know they are located in Stillwater or Manhattan Kansas!! :D If all these new rules were adopted, and most of them will be, it could level the playing field a little!!!
