We are improving and we haven't even played---the first preseason poll of the WAC had us tied for 6th and the one I saw Friday had us in 4th place. I figure by the start of football season we should be near the top!!! :D The last poll had Fresno, Boise and Hawaii ahead of us, which is probably justified because recent history, 5 or 6 years, is on their side, so they probably deserve it. Hopefully we will start deserving some of that after this year!!! 04-rock

We are probably 10%-25% better as regards talent and athleticism, but that won't necessarily translate into a season with as many or more wins. Instead of sneaking up on people, we will have a target on our backs. Instead of getting breaks, they may go against us. We also have a tougher schedule this year.

I'm very encouraged by the prospects for the 2004 Golden Hurricane, but I'm wary also.

Couldn't have said it better myself...

I agree, I would be very happy with a winning season, with a lot of luck or whatever!! 04-cheers Wasn't it last year at this time a lot of fans were going to be happy with 3 wins last year, 5 wins this year and a winning season in Coach K's 3rd year. It will be interesting to see how greedy fans get after a winning season in his 1st year. Personally I have no doubt we will go undefeated and get a top 10 ranking!! :D Catbird, I should post that prediction on the Rivals board----that would get a few responses if they thought I was serious. I also would get someone to agree with it!! :D

Why shouldn't we expect a winning season? I guarentee you Kragthorpe expects nothing less.

I'm getting season tickets this year - I have a lot of faith in Kragthorpe and the change of attitude taken by our players.

I have a lot of faith in Coach K and the team too and would love to see all of their games but I'll probably only get to see three of them!! If you get season tickets we'll expect a full report on every home game by Monday morning right here to get the discussion going!! 04-cheers
