I think Och should be turned into a starter. He throws a really consistent 2 seamer and he did really well against the now No. 2 team in the country. Not sure what kind of heat he throws, i I am guessing 89ish but he is consistent. Thoughts on this?

I think Och May be a starter in the future. He just doesn’t have the command as of yet. Yesterday in two innings he had 3 walks and 5 full counts. Obviously he has good stuff as he gave up no hits...

Agree with this.

Even when effective, his pitch count would be too high to get through 5 innings.

At this point, I think he has more value coming out of the pen.

Blaylock is a Keating type player. He’s going to help us and is an upgrade over Franklin but he won’t save our season.

He may not "save our season" but I have to disagree about him being a Keating-type player.

I know he has only 18 at-bats but so far:
.389 avg
1.056 ops
1 HR
5 RBI
.556 slg
4 BB
3 SO
.500 ob%

IMO, he's ahead of where DK would be in all categories.

He's also a dirtbag and goes 100% every play that I've see.

He's a Keating-type player in that he's going to hit around .300 with 5-7 bombs and have a hefty K rate. Also has plus speed.

Blaylock seems to have at least average plate discipline, which Keating most definitely didn't. If he has his average and power numbers while improving on his walk rate, he's going to be a top 10-15 hitter in C-USA (far better than Franklin).

Not positive, but I think we are 9-0 with Blaylock in the starting batting lineup.
