We did not get it all in place until 2013, do your research man. No it wasn't convenient at all. 2010 Doc did the best he could with trying to mix in freshman talent with snyder leftovers, didn't go so well. 2011, Cato is a freshman, ends up a starter and went through lots of growing pains, 2012, he matured, offense became explosive, only problem was the defense gave up more points than the offense could score, 2013, new coordinator, complete defensive turn around to match our offense, ended the year 10-4 beating Maryland in the Military Bowl. In 2013 MT was tougher than memphis, that same year NT more than replaced Houston. The F schools were subpar, so no we didn't replace UCF at that time. Tulsa, Tulame, ECU were still in the league, ECU was still pretty good, as was MT, we all 3 battled it out in the East. Given that, we never got to prove whether or not we could beat you with the systems in place, that's the facts. We got the offense in place in 2012, but didn't get the defense right until 2013, and waalaa, most improved squad in D1. Thing is you can say what you want, that the competition left, blah blah blah, in most regards, WKU more than replaced Tulsa in performance, LA Tech more than replaced Tulame in performance. I can do this all day. We didn't play when we got the ball rolling, so you don't know, and I don't know. Say what you will. We don't have an issue beating your mates in out of conference or bowl games these days. Cincy may get us this year though.
That's all well and good, congrats and all.
But since 2012, what Marshall teams would have beaten UCF?
2013? - Hell no
2014? - Debatable but unlikely
2015? - Absolutely
2016? - Hell no
2017? - HELL NO
2018? - Absolutely not.
So even after all your word vomit, Marshall is still looking at 4-12 all time series against UCF before the (generous) toss up of 2014.
How does any of that negate the fact that UCF has had Marshall's number?
EDIT: and by the way it's voila
Biggest bunch of hog wash I have ever read. How do you know? That's right, you don't. You didn't play this version of the Herd, we might have lost more than we won but you wouldn't go only 1 loss against us, that's an opinion. So how does anyone know, well you play the game. None has been played in your current version or ours, speculate all you want, it doesn't make it a fact.
Alright then, tell me which games you would have won?
And in the end, when you still have a drastic losing record against UCF, how does that even still yet disprove that UCF owns Marshall?
Who is arguing you don't own the all time record? since you asked my OPINION.
2013- no, would be competitive but you guys win.
2014- yes, would be competitive but we win
2015- you sucked donkey nuts, we win easily, while we had another 10 win season
2016- you win, we might have made a game of it but likely not, we sucked
2017- you win hands down
2018-you win, but not a easily as you think, 2 common opponents, 2 similar results.
That's 4 wins you, 2 wins MU, not exactly owning, but yes winning more than losing. Idiots that troll like you do, make it hard to root for you when you are the one representing all of us in the thanks for playing bowl. Good luck in your attempts to troll more though, its been fun debunking your BS.
So you agree with my original assessment? 2014 was the only toss up and the rest would have been easy to predict?
My original statement was:
"Marshall fans are as easy to trigger as it is to beat them in football"
And from our conversations in this thread, both those points have been proven.
This all started because Marshall fans were piling on Charlotte, and needed to be reminded of their humble recent history. Besides, AAC fans gotta stick up for Charlotte, they'll probably be in the AAC before Marshall anyhow
