King Hill was the pick in 1958. Frank Ryan was drafted later that same draft andeventually led Cleveland to the NFL Championship. Then he earned a Ph.D in math.

Matt Anderson was the first player taken in the MLB draft in 1997.

Glad you straightened out that mess. I almost gagged on my gin when I read "King Ryan".

Has any school had two had two QBs drafted the same year since Rice in ‘58?

I don’t remember anything like that since then.
