I mean if they lose to tech it’s gonna take near perfection in the league to make a tourney I would think

Yes. Not because it will help their resume but losing would hurt. It's a Q3 game. Might squeeze in as a low Q2. They really need this and to beat Washington in order to have some sort of quality win going into conference play.

Edit: just noticed that South Carolina jumped to 93 in the NET after yesterday so Houston and Wichita gained a Q2 win. So that helps

South Carolina has notched road wins against Virginia and Clemson since losing to UH. I think that games going to end up as a quad 1 by the end of the year. With that said this is definitely a must win for UH. Not only to avoid the bad loss but to get the SOS boost from playing Washington in the championship game.

disagree..we are 44 in the net BEFORE conference play....high major teams all increase in conference play.. this is not a "must win"..its a should win

using NET now is not a good judge...@south carolina will be q1 for houston at seasons end...they are q3 now....

gtech will not be 156 in the net at seasons end....the worst acc last year was 123...gtech isnt even the worst acc..and that not even adding theyve been playing injured till prior to boise

we can take a loss ...

This is why I liked mick at UC. Uc just never dropped off under him no matter who we lost.

You need 2 out of 3 three things to feel comfortable in getting a bid.

1. Multiple good wins and minimal to no bad losses.
2. A good NET Rankings
3. Be a P5 team with quality losses.

You can't get the third one so you need both a good NET and good wins with minimal losses. Right now you have one borderline good win. Might be able to grab a few in conference but never know.

A good NET by itself doesn't get you in, just last year a team with a NET of 33 got left out

Apparently we have must win games in December. What a concept.
