South Carolina-20 Missouri-37

Memphis-24 Houston-28

As expected, the Big Ten's top teams defeat (clobber?) Washington and Oregon. The losses by Indiana and Minnesota are surprising only in that those 2 teams were in the Top 25 to begin with (add USCe to that list too).

Alabama continued in the Saban tradition of winning its season opening OOC gaming (poor USC). LSU squeeked by Texas, but a win is a win, likely setting up another big Tide-Tiger showdown in October.

Georgia... almost overcame Alabama. As a Gator fan I was hoping they'd both lose; was happy to see another team win the SEC last year (though would have prefered Florida). The Bulldogs face good odds (91%) of a playoff spot though if they are able to win out (big 'if', only 1% chance they do).

Finally, the defending American champs stumble against Houston. Its now largely a 2-horse race for the G5's NY6 spot between UCF and Boise, though of course many teams are still in the hunt (Memphis being a distant #3).

Cool concept. have you thought about running a simulation of just OOC games, since those seem to be the games on the chopping block in most conferences?

I suppose that data could simply be extricated from this sim. Because teams will likely have modified conference schedules, the lost OOC games could also be re-simmed in December after we see how good each team is.

RE: The Year That Wasn't (Weeks 0-3)
Power Five pelts through 3 weeks:

UCF beat UNC (45-17) and GT (32-17)
Temple beat Rutgers (42-24)
Memphis beat Purdue (29-24)
Tulane beat Northwestern (42-31)
Boise St beat Florida State (41-27)
SDSU beat UCLA (31-28)
Troy beat NC State (27-24)

Of note, App State lost to both Wake Forest (21-28) and Wisconsin (24-31). Close games... but losses still. Also, Cincinnati's game at the RedHawks was a disappointing 14-24 defeat.

Undefeated G5s remaining: UCF, SMU, Boise, USM, Troy, Louisiana, La Monroe
