If spring football, would early enroll players and transfers be able to play immediately?

Certainly the 85 scholarship limit applies, but for teams like UMass well under the limit, could their 2021 recruits play if early enrolled?
Also transfers players from last spring on the roster probably be able to play as well.

Most colleges are ending the semester at Thanksgiving because they expect a spike in the winter flue season.

If fall gets cancelled, I don't expect any spring sports. Certainly not before March.

Early enrollees can play in sports in baseball and basketball so I don’t see why not. The question would be does the NCAA use up a year of their eligibility if they enroll but don’t play
