It also sounds like BYU has been talking to Hawaii, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State.

These all stem from the PAC cancellations.

- Hawaii is looking to replace 3 games lost to PAC cancellations.
- Alabama is looking to replace its Arlington, TX neutral-site game with USC.
- Notre Dame is looking to replace it's @USC game.
- Texas A&M is looking to replace its home game against Colorado.
- Texas Tech is looking to replace its home game against Arizona.
- Oklahoma State is looking to replace its home game against Oregon State.

BYU lost 1 home game and 4 road games to the PAC and B1G cancellations; so, we have plenty of room on the schedule to add road games.

This seems like a secondary article, referring to an article that they didn't link here that basically says that "the Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne posted on Twitter Saturday morning that the Tide and Notre Dame won’t be playing this season.". Then just goes on to say that BYU would make sense. Seems flimsy.

Just set up camp in the Metroplex, take the neutral site game with Alabama at Jerry World, and the games at Tech, A&M, and OSU. :-) That's 4 games right there. The home game with Notre Dame makes 5.

Are the ACC, SEC, and Big 12 all still planning on full seasons with OOC games right now? If they are going to change anything they better do so fast or they will be out of time?

Any word on what the Big Ten and PAC 12 calendars are going to look like? Are they both sticking to 9 game schedules? I heard there was talk about adding a 10th this season so everyone got 5 home games.

Last week, Utah added a home against Oregon for September 12.

There hasn't been an official revised schedule released yet, but it looks like the PAC is planning to stage a 10-game conference-only schedule, with the first games in September.

So this is what I don't get. How can the conference cancel their OOC games--only to replace some (one per team) of them with another game and not have there be cancellation penalties? The act of God clause would be a situation where the game can't be played for reasons outside their control--but essentially what Utah for example is doing here is saying "sorry Montana State, we are cancelling the game on September 12 because COVID-19, but then turning around and going to Oregon on the same date. Wouldn't Montana State have a beef for compensation for cancelling their game then?

According to the SC athletic director today we are still planning on playing Coastal Carolina on Sept 5

Saw one article about Utah where they had a clause in their contract specifying they could get out under force majeure or if the governing body (NCAA) or conference (Pac 12) forced a cancellation. So if the Pac 12 and Big 10 schools have those clauses, they are in good shape. Maybe not totally clear because the conference of which they are a part made the decision, but it definitely strengthens their defense.

I think they may have an out because they moved to a conference only schedule. If they replaced the game with another team I think there would be much more than cancellation penalties this close to the season. I'm waiting to see what the ACC, SEC & Big 12 do. If they dump their OOC games and schedule games with each other like a lot of people are speculating I think that would end in a massive lawsuit.
