TMobile, Sprint offering free year of The Athletic
https://www.t-mobile.com/news/offers/fre...heathletic

Quote:Baseball is back! On the heels of announcing the company’s latest Un-carrier move Scam Shield, T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) proved the Un-carrier won’t stop, unveiling an all-star lineup of T-Mobile Tuesdays offers available to customers including a free year-long subscription to MLB.TV (with the MLB App’s premium features — a $59.99 value), and a free 1-year subscription to The Athletic — a $59.99 value! And, since Sprint became a part of T-Mobile, this is the first time Sprint customers can get in on epic offers like these — and so much more — through T-Mobile Tuesdays.

Android and iOS users can grab their free subscriptions to MLB.TV and The Athletic for two weeks, starting Tuesday, July 21 at 5 a.m. ET through Tuesday, August 4 at 4:59 a.m. ET. All customers have to do is head to T-Mobile Tuesdays for details on how to redeem.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/deals/t...e-tuesdays

Quote:Claiming and redeeming gifts and prizes
To get your gifts and for your chance to win prizes, make sure you open the T-Mobile Tuesdays app every week at some point between Tuesday at 5 a.m. ET to Wednesday 4:59:59 a.m. ET. In the app, go through the list of gifts available and make sure you tap SAVE for the ones you want.

Once you save an offer, you can redeem it right away, or you can wait until later. If you decide to wait, just pay close attention to the date and time you have until to redeem the offer. Each gift or prize has its own expiration, sometimes ending within 24 hours. If you don't redeem an offer right away, you can find it later in My Stuff.

When I get my next phone, it'll be with AT&T because they recently made an important rehire that speaks to their commitment to industry-standard customer service and the bleeding edge of telecommunications.

I just don't have time for The Athletic. Too much sports and stuff to read already, LOL. But good news for those who do.

These deals can be nice, e.g., I just found out that thanks to my COX cable internet, I am getting the new NBC/Universal "Peacock" network, the upgraded $4.99 version, for "free" too.

Mine uses T-Mobile and we don’t have good service in our office building (or really anywhere else.)

Yes. That’s works okay but it seems to deplete the batteries quicker. We also had a lot more dead areas where phones don’t work on trips, etc. We had AT&T prior and it was significantly better. Unfortunately, we in the US don’t have any say. Our company HQ is shared between Sweden and Switzerland and they made that decision for the company globally. No one in the US who had any say have any positive feedback on switching from AT&T to T-Mobile.

I switched from Sprint to Verizon one year ago and it’s been day and night on service. Plus I’ve been enjoying my free one year Disney+ membership.

Or you can get service through a MVNO and pocket enough savings to buy your own subscription, tickets to a football game, and then several 6 packs for tailgating.

Total wireless....uses Verizon's towers for $60/month after taxes for 2 lines that share 30 GB. Cut my bill in half. If I want a new phone they also have a no fee monthly plan

MintSim is a TMobile MVNO. 12 GB of 5G/4G data, unlimited talk/text in North America, $25/mo.

Definitely true. Wifi calling is what makes it work for me. I will see I noticed T-Mobile aggressively building out their network in the southeast at least over the last 4-5 years. When I first started with T-Mobile I'd drop all the way down to Edge just driving on I-85 or even I-95 in Florida. Now you stay with at least 4G quality (NOT 4G LTE) all along the interstates. If having the highest possible speed with the lowest possible number of dead spots is your #1 priority to the exclusion of some others (price, data capacity) then Verizon should be your choice. I would describe the T-Mobile network as "good enough for me". Given that using the T-Mobile network cost me $25/mo versus twice that to get equivalent service on Verizon's network ... I'm fine keeping the extra $300+/year.

My company looked at the following formula: about 15,000 phone lines x less money = a good deal
