USC to play at dawn; No PAC Network games
AFAIK, the only other 9am kickoff in CFB history is Boise St @ San Jose St in 2004.

I will never understand this. I guess with no fans this year it's a little bit of an easier sell. Just seems like such a slap in the face.

It's FOX "money" slot, the "Big Noon" game. They want to keep their best games away from CBS's top SEC games and ABC's prime time games. I'm not saying I agree with it, but that's FOX's logic. And the game is making a lot of news/noise because of the early start. Would most of us be talking about this game if it aired later in the day? Actually if there was a game for the Pac-12 to feature as a Big Noon game, it probably should be Stanford at Oregon. But I assume ABC has that game.
