We tried to establish an identity after losing the program to politics.
Spencer Brown was helping some of the defenders up that just tried to inflict a tough tackle.
He is a player you can ground your team with.
Our freshman qb would not hurt a fly.
Our tough guy defense is because that is how you have to play defense. Until those last 2 drives they were dominating the Cajuns.
You can’t deny that our defenses have been very good In CUSA.
Napier is a very good coach and put us in the position where our freshman qB was needed to win the game. Lucero needs experience. Tough loss to a good team. I knew DJ. He was a great kid. That emotional win was great for the team and his family.

Glad you could sleep tonight. I know it must be so thrilling for you to watch us play and lose. Just ask any blazer fan how much of a **** we give about playing the jags every year? *yawns*

I wouldn’t say that UAB is a dirty team, as a whole, but y’all DE was. He’s also a manimal, and will likely see the NFL.

That kid was a dog! I’d add him to our roster in a heartbeat. That juice is definitely worth the squeeze!

UAB had been the dirtiest football team in CUSA under Bill Clark and tonight it finally cost them. Dumb ass called his 3 timeouts on plays that didnt mean a damn thing. Then stole one by making that OLine player hit the ground 10 foot from the sideline.
I’d be butthurt too if my team got their ass whipped by a team with an extremely average offense. Enjoy your irrelevant ass season.
Who's butthurt? Western is one of the worse teams in college football and made another stupid hire. So losing to a uab was no surprise...it was expected. I thought Bill Clark was a dirty coach long before Western played UAB. Nothing has changed to make me believe any difference.
You mean back when he was HC at Jacksonville St. or Prattville HS? If you follow FCS and Alabama High School football you must have a ton of free time.

So one last thing I want to note about this game is how it came about to begin with. Scrambling to fill a sudden vacancy Napier was ready and willing to take on any challengers anywhere, even if it meant having to travel to what would a tough game. He could have easily not taken this risk but to his credit he faced it square on. That shows confidence in himself and his team that is very welcome. Oh and him being able to back up that confidence is awful nice as well.
And kudos for UAB for being willing to accept the challenge.

Nice chance to set the table for an emotional game with Coach Looney’s family in attendance as well. Kudos to both coaches for playing this game.

Agreed . Appreciate UAB for helping us out. Would love to make this a regular game.
Good luck going forward, especially against the dog killers this weekend.

Believe me, not that it matters, but I couldn’t stand you, Guns, when WKU came aboard, but I have come to respect and value what you have to say (removing biases) and I’d gladly raise a glass to you and yours.
And fellas, I find he is more accurate than many.
As a UAB fan I can’t stand the constant bashing of our programs no matter what. At least he finally admitted he hates UAB. It’s fine, but it’s tough to respect anybody that seemingly doesn’t ever have a positive thing to say about the program you support.

That’s a fair point. I felt the same a few years ago, but I decided to let go of my venom... I’ve really never seen him go on the offensive too often.
