The past two weeks USM was around a 7 pt underdog each game and I said we wouldn't cover but we did as the outcome was 3 points each game (WKU and UTSA). This week the 17 seems about accurate but has the feeling it's gonna be a lot worse with Lowe at the wheel. The one positive is he does have the full week to prepare but considering he had the same for WKU and he/we only managed a 4th quarter TD this one has beatdown written all over it.

We are down to our 3rd team QB and 1 RB in Gore. Might get ugly.

And Gore is gutting it out while playing with turf toe. He left Sat's game limping numerous times and got his toe retaped as he was in a lot of pain. Our team is extremely thin in a number of positions. I expect UAB to win and cover the current spread.

Looking at the UAB stat sheet and yall have only played two QBs this year so who is/was the other one?

Lucero - 7 games, 969 passing yards, 7 TD
Johnston - 3 games, 374 passing yards, 3 TD

Injured before the season started. Johnston was injured in the first game but continued to play before being replaced midway through the second game. He returned during the la Tech game after Lucero threw two interceptions that led to two scores. No idea how healthy he is

Lucero was our 3rd string QB. Hopkins came into the season as our #2 but he's been injured and I don't think has played a down this season.

Well crap. Southern Miss was probably gonna lose by a decent margin, but I still hate when any of these games get canceled.

I guess we're officially done with Legion Field, barring a Birmingham Bowl appearance or an added game on 12/5.
