Tulsa was thoroughly manhandled beginning with the offensive and defensive line then their linebackers then their running backs. Our lineman has been Tulsas achilles heel for many years. I believe we will show major improvements in recruiting, for bigger and faster players to allow us to compete with the Major conference teams. Time will tell.
The long layoff was only good for 1 person, it seems.....J. Kilian was healthy enough to play. However, the team was clearly out of sync and rhythm. Penalties and fumbles made it frustrating for everyone, players and fans, giving good field position to GT all day. Not that it mattered once the freight train got moving in the second half.
Its hard to reflect on anything that happened today that shows promise for the future. But I know our year was no fluke. The defense played good in the first half until they exposed our weakness against the run up the gut and exploited it.
GT is much better than there record indicates. A good strong physical team. I am not sold on their young QB from his performance today but the running back is a horse. And WOW to the defense.
GT played well and won with class.

Congratulations Georgia Tech !!!

Congrats to Ga Tech!!! They were just to big and fast for Tulsa this year. The score would have been a little better without all the T/O's because it would have taken more time off the clock if they hadn't started from our 20-30 and 40 yd line the whole 2nd half. The announcers said they scored 35 pts off T/O's, that's a great defense!!!!!!

I wish they had played that way all season :bang:

I expected Kilian to be much better than he was. You guys had me thinking he was an awesome QB and that he was really god at scrambling, but he didn't look very fast to me at all.

Your defensive problem seems to be the sam as ours: big nasties up front

PJ Daniels had his way going up the middle all day long.

Hopefully the next time we meet it will be a closer and more exciting game. 04-cheers
