I will just point out that Catbird and Chris Harmon BOTH had seen the video, Catbird have even responded on the thread, and neither of them EVEN DELETED THE LINK. They left it there. They probably bookmarked it. They sure didn't suspend his account. You need to stop being such a puritan.

Had many people complained? I doubt it. This has been my position all along, you do make decision based solely upon what you find offensive and don't consider whether a MAJORITY of the board community finds it offensive. If 60% of the people find something funny or interesting, 35% don't care and 5% get offended, you'll still take it down, which is just not the right way to do things. IMO.

WD you dont know me and I do not know you. I do not think that I am some high and almighty person. I will agree with B&G and others that if someone posts something that you dont like you get all fired up and let them have it.

As a moderator of another board, I dont think it is apporpriate for you to discuss B&G's banning on the rival board on this board. Regardless of what he says you should take the high road and discuss it in private messages to him. If he choses to keep it in the public so be it. You could simply reply to his post saying that you will not discuss his or any other persons suspension in a public forum and leave it at that, but that is my personal opinon.

Personally I feel that what TUFAN posted should have been deleated as soon as they showed up. Then none of this would have taken place. By leaving hers up, you opened the doors for others to post other questionable material.

True. But, don't you do the same? I changed my name on the TSW board so I could post and debate without people thinking I was telling them what they could and couldn't say. I posted as WD and moderated as DL. That way, signals would not be crossed. I don't have that option on Rivals.
When I debate or argue I AM NOT telling someone how, who, or what they can post. I am simply joining the discussion as everyone else does. Some people see it as an attack on them which, to be honest, is their problem. They obviously feel they are doing/saying something wrong or they would play the "over moderating" card in a debate.

My rules are simple.
1) No personnal attacks or threats. (TUFan is a big fat hairy punk and I am going to kick her ******)

2) No out of control cursing. (Try saying, "That's a load of crap" vs "You're full of ******ing s**t.")

3) No nudity or pornographic images (yea, this covers videos as well. If you want your kid to watch porn do it on your time on another site. Rivals is not in the porn business.) A parent should trust their kid will not be exposed to porn on a TU Sports Message Board.

4) No spamming. (No need to post FIRE JP in 5 new threads in a row)

That is where the problem is. Everyone knows that DL and WD are the same. I think you have to admit that you had a very strong presence on TSW. Naturally people are going to see you as the lead moderator whether that is correct or not. You have to be one or the other it is hard to be both. Its like trying to be someones boss and their best friend.

WD yes i think 5 fire JP posts is a bit much, but it is hardly a reason to ban a person or edit their posts. Let the others give crap about it. By editing or banning them you are just tempting them to go out and say "look at what WD did."

I don't edit or ban for that. On TSW I would merge the threads. On Rivals I can't do that so I delete 3 of the 4 or 5.

The last post I edited was Panics. I edited out f**#(@. I don't edit for context, just content.

B&G, you can't possibly be surprised by this turn of events. Your whole approach is to be provocative, to poke, prod, snipe, jab, insult for the purpose of getting a reaction out of others. I'm fine with posting on this board, and I realize it is a short matter of time before people start coming here instead of the rivals spot.

You 5 stay over there and have a happy Christmas, and we'll stay over here and have nice talks. If you notice, there haven't been any people here blasting anyone else (besides you, teen, and KJFan). We've had nice discussions revolving around football, basketball and recruiting. People here have either decided to leave you guys alone over there or you've banned them, so you're welcome to come over here and post as much as you want, but don't be surprised every time the people that don't care much for you call you out on your typical crap.
