Despite all the praise he's gotten over his career, he still feels a bit overlooked to me in some ways. I guess the line will always be changing as to what constitutes "the modern game" but it feels like the Babe and Ty Cobb predate it. The only other position player with a higher B/R career WAR than Hank is/was Barry Bonds and we all know about him.

Another interesting thing is he didn't have his best OPS+ season until age 37 with a 194 and he still hit quite well through age 40. Even his final two years at age 41 and 42 were around league average OPS+. Fingers crossed that maybe there's still some quality life left in Joey Votto's bat.
