Would Husker and Sooner fans be excited if their game became an annual affair, possibly a conference game?

I’d love to see this game come back but now that I whole generation has gone by since this was an annual game would it generate the kind of excitement that other blue blood rivalry games do?

Imagine a double header on Fox on Rivalry week with Ohio St vs Michigan at noon and Nebraska vs Oklahoma at 3:30!

I think both fan bases would embrace it. Oklahoma wouldn't move Texas out of the #1 position but I think Nebraska could move up to #2 if given the chance. Nebraska seems desperate to relive the glory days and nothing would represent that better than playing Oklahoma annually, especially the last game of the regular season.

I agree that both fan bases would embrace the game. OU would get excited for the "W."

Hey, guys, who owns the rights to next year's game in Lincoln? Is it Disney? I ask because it looks to me like this year's game might be moved to Lincoln and given a later start time. (Oklahoma is "bitterly disappointed" in FOX for the 11:00am kickoff, coming on the 50th anniversary of The Game of the Century.)

Maybe Ohio State would take Nebraska's spot at Norman on 9/17/22? OSU is scheduled to host Toledo then, so I guess Toledo would play NU instead. Perhaps NU would compensate OSU for its lost revenue and Toledo for the trouble, dunno.. I could be tripping altogether. 01-wingedeagle Is it too late to move this year's game and how pissed would OU fans be if it were? They'd get OSU next year and I'd assume they'd schedule another H/H with NU.

I’ve done a lot of cool things in my Sports Law career… but none cooler than this.

All I can say for now is that I’m working on a top secret project that will make Nebraska fans very happy… and might not be so well received at Big Ten HQ.

I may have said too much… stay tuned

Because you asked nicely… the project is still in production… so I can’t release anything of substance yet (it’s not my news to break)… however I can add that three schools in particular will greatly appreciate this: Nebraska plus Ohio State and one more

Lol I’ll tell you as soon as I can… you’re my agent though so I may need to tell you sooner

HINT: as you can see there’s a production element to the project and that - as you can imagine - takes some time

Won't be determined until next year.

Oh, nevermind. It's probably something about the 2020 Big Ten season. Thanks!

What a bunch of belly aching from Norman.

You know, if they would have signed up to join the Big 10 instead of the Southern ESPN Conference, they could have had all the 3:30 EST and prime time slots they wanted while Ohio St, Michigan, and Penn St filled the FOX Big Noon slot.

If I’m FOX, I’d put every Oklahoma or Texas game they carry between now and whenever they move to the SEC at Noon Eastern/ 11 Central slot out of spite.
