You’re right and I should not have replied although the responses to the question of Liberty’s possible addition proves a point several have made: their admittance would cause controversy.
I think it’s best we moved on from any discussion regarding Liberty.

I have a feeling we will add UAB and Rice once the three leave for Big12
Stand at 10 until as you stated above we see the fall out from Big12 and PAC.
You figure that these additions won’t happen until 2023 season at earliest.
So 2022 we keep current configuration
2023 the three leave for Big12 we add UAB and Rice
2024 have a better idea on what PAC and Big12 do

RE: Plan C
Among the available candidates, Rice, Buffalo, UMass and Miami-O appear to be the best academic/athletic fits per this guy's analysis given AF, Army and Colo St said no:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stVThj9R_q4
If those four were added, you would have a nice East-West set up:
West - SMU, Tulsa, Rice, Tulane, Memphis, Navy
East - USF, East Car, Temple, UMass, Buffalo, Miami-O
If you lost Memphis, then fill with UAB. Or add UAB to the West, move Memphis East and drop UMass.

Good. They shouldn’t be a candidate.
Considering what's left in the AAC, you guys sure are cocky for no reason.

I feel very confident that UMass and/or Miami-OH will not be added. I am fairly confident that Buffalo will not be added as well.
If I were to guess, our new additions -if they are made anytime within the next year or so AND if we don’t revisit some kind of MWC “western wing”- will come from schools below the Mason-Dixon Line.

Wait, what???
Someone is throwing Miami (OH) into AAC discussions? Good lord people get a grip.
Lol. I went there. They are lucky to be in the MAC. Their athletic department is run like a lemonade stand and they have literally 100’s of fans that care.

LOL anti- Christian bigotry. That’s funny and ironic in itself.
To think that anyone that opposes the addition to Liberty U is not a Christian is well hilarious and sad.

Freedom of religion, which you righties love to quote when it suits you, does not permit freedom of discrimination. Liberty is a bigoted institution, with anti-LBGT language written into its rules. Your counter point, that eevangelicals get made fun of at other institutions, does not compare.
Actually, freedom of religion expressly allows for the freedom to discriminate.
There are plenty of private schools that require affiliation with a Christian denomination for admittance. There are several religions that do not allow for their members to marry outside of their faith. Legally-speaking, Liberty (for example) has every right to not allow public displays of affection, which arguably discriminates against both homosexual and heterosexual persons.
There are times when discrimination is perfectly acceptable (and legal) Typically, such is true when it is being done for religious purposes. It does not make it right or wrong… but it is a fact.
With regards to Liberty, they will not be admitted to the conference. Doing so would certainly push some members out the door and would welcome headaches (protests and such) to every game that Liberty played away (at least). Their athletic program is very good but their baggage is too much for all our schools, ECU included.
With that said, I am beginning to think that we will either add one (UAB) or none and just stand pat at 8 for a season or two.
You bring up good points with the non inclusion about Liberty, with one exception. In all the games LU has played as a FBS team (3 years), and all the FCS games played prior, I have never seen a demonstration at an away game with protestors. There have been demonstrations at LU by gay rights activists after idiotic statements by LU admins. I cannot recall any away FB game where there have been demonstrations in watching LU FB since the late 1970's. But, opposing team fans give HC Freeze and the LU players, their unrelenting, scathing scorn.

If this was written about Muslims or orthodox Jews or any other religion it would’ve been deleted and he would’ve been suspended if not banned. But because it’s Christaphobia, it’s acceptable.

I’m not going to even try to respond to this gibberish because we are suppose to be on a sports board, but like everything in this country lately everything becomes political and about religion.
So hopefully we move back to sports.

The mods did.... go up a few posts and you will see they already said to cut the politics.
Dont know who needs to hear this, but if you arent in the AAC then you are a guest here and coming in and being an ass isnt appreciated.
We dont honestly give a damn what anyones religious views are on here. Many of us have tried to help the people who want Liberty to understand that it wont happen because they dont fit into the same value system that the9 members instutions maintain.
If you dont like it, cool. We dont care. If you think its anti-christian, cool. We dont care. If you continue to push your agenda, cool... I gurantee they will ban your ass and we can go back to not caring.
I come here because I want to chat sports and specifically AAC. If you want to talk about other things... cool... find that forum. We dont care.
