2021-22 College Basketball Season General Thread
Figured we'd get the general thread going...because there is already a Top 20 upset brewing.
Ohio State down by three at home to AKRON with 2+ left.

#10 Kentucky at #9 Dook should be a good one for the nightcap.

Man, opening night losses for XU and OSU would have been a great way to start the C-Bball season. Early season losses don't mean a whole lot, but it still would have been nice.

Houston in overtime right now with Hofstra.
Wichita needed a three from the logo to beat Jacksonville State.
Tulane up 3 late vs Southeastern Louisiana.
AAC in mid season form already.

Really wanted some of these teams to lose, especially Houston because their fans are annoying, but probably for the best that they won. AAC gets enough crap about our basketball don't need our top teams losing to mid-majors

Pitt got blown out by The Citadel. Final score 78-63.
Historically good night for service academies. Not so good for the ACC.

Tari Eason went for 11 and 10 off the bench for LSU
Gabe Madsen had 0 points in 7 minutes off the back end of the bench for Utah
Zach Harvey suffered a season ending knee injury last week in practice
That's your transfer report for today.

Watching Buffalo @ Michigan. Buffalo has some dudes. They’ll be a tough out for anyone.
Michigan played lights out in the first half but only are up 5 with 6 minutes to go.

Buffalo has one of the most impressive MAC teams I've ever seen.
Michigan has all the pieces of a title contender. Juwan Howard has accumulated an insane amount of talent.

Mamoudou Diarra also led Tennessee Tech in scoring against Memphis, with 11 off the bench.

Forgot two of them were still playing (Vogt and Brooks)
Vogt: 2 points, 9 boards, 2 blocks in 17 minutes
Toyambi: 11 points, 7 boards, 2 assists from the starting 4 spot for Georgia Southern
Johnson: 8 points, 4 boards, 5 assists for St Marys as the starting off guard
Moore: 9 points...surprisingly 0/2 from 3 for Morgan State.

I’m going to be a zombie for staying up that late but the #4 Nova at #2 UCLA game felt like a late March matchup. Crazy finish down the stretch. UCLA was down 10 with 5 minutes left... came back to force OT and win.

X sputters their way to another win over Kent St. They were down 36-31 at half, but came back to win 73-59, mainly due to outrebounding KSU 48-29.

Such a good game, crazy that there hadn't been a Top 5 on campus game this early in the season in like 3 decades.
