He only cares about selling his merch. Will NDSU buy millions of hats and T-shirt’s with his logo on it?

Tennessee? It doesn't look like that QB position is secure. He didn't have a great relationship with Heupel, so this would be a shock to UCF fans. Gabriel statement suggests he's looking for a program that runs a system that fits his talents. The Heupel system does fit him. Gabriel is a businessman now, so this might just be a business decision to go to Tenessee.
Nebraska? Scott Frost is desperate. He's been loyal to Adrian Martinez but Dillon Gabriel might just be the perfect candidate. I think Gabriel is better than Martinez but it would be a battle that pushes both QBs for sure. Gabriel wants to sell his NIL merch and Nebraska is a large fan base. He might be able to sell his merch without even winning the starting job because Nebraska fans are so fed up with Martinez.
Texas? Gabriel is prioritizing his NIL merch if you believe UCF Rivals reporting. Texas is the biggest cash cow in the sport. Texas hasn't had a lot of on field success but you have to think Gabriel would be a good Big12 QB.
Path for Gabriel to Nebraska just got that much easier.
Cornhuskers fans will buy merch, huge fan base.

RE: Where's the Dillion Gabriel transfer thread?
I like that the UCLA commit photo wasn't good enough.
The left image is clearly the UCLA provided one. They cover his tattoo. Nice and simple with UCLA and jumpman logo
The right image is his own with the DG logo and twitter handle. His tattoo is visible but hides jumpman logo. Hollywood Sign, Stadium and Welcome to California sign... Some CFBE logo which I assume is the company he hired to make the image. It's so much more stuff

The more I read about Mr. Hollywood the less I like. I hope DG falls on his face out there.

Good for him. Chip will be able to use him much better in that offense and now he is within a reasonable flight to get back he when he can.
Honestly that’s a really good spot for him. Congrats to Dillon.

He should be able to pad the stats with a really easy ooc and conference schedule.

LOL. When usf has a decent QB we will see what he says when he transfers.
UCF will survive post DG.

This might be the weakest OOC for a so-called P5 that I have ever seen.

I agree with the second part of your statement, but question whether Chip Kelly's offense will be a great fit. Kelly's offenses are heavy on zone-read concepts, which require a mobile quarterback that can and will run for yardage. Dillon Gabriel, while an excellent down field passer, is not and never has been much of a running threat. For comparison, let's see what UCLA's starting QB did on the ground this past season vs. Gabriel's last two full seasons:
UCLA
2021 - Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Rushes: 130, Yards: 609. Average: 4.7, TDs: 9
UCF
2019 - Dillon Gabriel: Rushes: 71, Yards: 78, Average: 1.1, TDs: 4
2020 - Dillon Gabriel: Rushes: 72, Yards: 169. Average: 2.3. TDs: 2
So, Gabriel has averaged a little over half the carries as UCLA's starter this past season and less than half of his yards per carry (Thomas-Robinson averaged 5.6 yards per carry in 2019, but his carries were limited having only started 4 games). He could certainly be a success at UCLA, but Chip Kelly will need to alter his offense significantly to work towards his strengths.

That’s fair but direct comparison is hard considering differences comparative team schedules and other factors.
Chip likes strong armed qbs who read their check downs quick. Remembered being impressed with how well he did that so early into his career. No Dillon isn’t super quick but he is mobile and as well as he reads his downs, he may not have to run that much.
When I sit back and look at a tradition Gus offense is, compared to chip… I just see chip as a better fit. It’s not a knock on any school, and I don’t get why me congratulating a kid got some of your fanbases panties in a bunch… but I appreciate your response. It’s valid.

He’d have to improve a lot to get on the Heisman list. Hes a solid QB who I think will do well out there and will learn a lot from Chip.

UCF will survive post DG.
1. I’d put our QB up against yours all day. Timmy McClain is a special talent.
2. Our other top QB did decide to leave. Marsh got the second most snaps last year and was going to be used in more wildcat formats next year. He entered the transfer portal.
We wished him well and treated him so well that he just came back out of the portal to stay.
3. Yes, UCF will survive and my post had nothing to do about about UCF. It was about a good kid who is headed back closer to home and finding a great opportunity, at a top notch school where he will get to learn under a legend.
