Gaither was pretty good today in debut. Control was good and worked ahead in the first 3 innings. He weathered the next 2 but was losing it a bit. Everything went wrong on the 6th and was pulled a bit late. Overall he did a good job.

The pen was good and bad. Hawks were fortunate to only be down 1 headed to the bottom of the 9th.

Hawks put a power heavy lineup out there the way it looked. Not sure this lineup will stick.
There is value in putting it in play and having prudent small ball with speed to go with power . Hawks stranded runners in scoring position early and struggled stringing hits together.

In the end, guys stepped up and made plays in the 9th defensively and on offense to cap the comeback.

I'm curious, what's the story here?

On another note, I know that last summer, we had a discussion for the need to establish some traditions, like a HR song, etc. It's nice to see everyone embracing the 'Pump It Up' song as our own.
