Question on Bowl Season 2023
Let's assume that the SBC3 successfully leave the conference early.

How many wins must a team have to qualify for a bowl if it plays only a 10-game schedule.

You planning on CUSA just deciding to cancel the games they lose rather than plugging in other conference opponents in those slots?

We will be canceling the OOC schedule to maximize damages.

CUSA knows the SBC3 is leaving early. They know it's inevitable that we won't be on the schedules this fall. These "schedules" they've released is just an act to try to squeeze as much money out as they can. CUSA has in fact the actual schedules that don't include the SBC3. They're just sitting on them right now - and they include 8 conference games.

I'm pretty sure it was a joke.

I’ve ran into more fans on this board and realignment thinking they’re going to have to scramble and find another OOC game and get an extra bye week.

Some don’t understand that a 11 team conference schedule has happened before.

What’s crazier is in 2023 there’s only 9 teams in CUSA what are they gonna do?

Doesn’t matter. Those worried are part of the group leaving

You're telling me the AAC has made it work with 11 teams for the last 3 years? Epic Mind Blown

RE: Question on Bowl Season 2023
The bowl season following the 2023 season will be the 1st for CUSA 4.0. There will be 9 schools and 2 of those will be in their 2nd year of transition from fcs. Those 2 will count as fbs for scheduling but unless the rule is changed they cannot go to a bowl.

So 7 schools can shoot for a bowl in 2023. Which bowls will stay aligned with CUSA for that year and beyond? The current bowl tie-ins for 14 schools assure at least 7 bowls each season. That's not possible with 7 and then 9 schools.
