What is the deal with ECU's naming rights? I know Ron Dowdy contributed back in the day. Is this a permanent arrangement?

I don’t know. I can’t imagine our stadium being named anything different though.

I don’t know. I can’t imagine our stadium being named anything different though.

To this day, he is a hard-core ECU fanatic. Once a year him and his kids fly up for a game. They are a great family. I know his son. His daughter is on the cure bowl board. Lots of ties to Orlando, they own much of the real estate on the north end of International drive.

Congrats UCF. That's a great looking venue and a nice chunk of revenue in naming deal. Good job by AD Mohajir. Wish we do a h/h deal with yall, so I have an excuse for a weekend trip to Orlando.

Only downside is that the name "FBS Mortgage Stadium" doesn't sound really appealing, but I cant really nitpick. Ours was named after a credit union.. doesn't quite roll off your tongue.

That looks like a HS exhibition match to me.

Nonetheless a fair point of needing to boost ticket sale in general for football. Hope it's a good turnout this weekend hosting UNC.

I love the sound of it, except that for some reason the name TDECU just makes me jump stream-of-consciousness style to Missed XP ECU…
