BYU is usually pretty stout in volleyball. Occasional national champ contender good.

Thanks. Happened to see Lowery packing up in the parking lot, he just said he expected a "good game".

BYU is ranked somewhere around #10 or #11 now, if UVU pulls it off it would be the best WAC win this year by a good margin.

ACU loses to TCU 2-3 this morning and then to Louisiana 1-3 this evening. They go into WAC play at 3-9. They have showed improvement this year but need better consistency.

RGV was so close against Texas Tech. Lost 2-3 after going up 2-0. All of the games were close.

UVU definitely didn’t even come close to beating BYU, losing 3-0. It’s going to happen one of these years though.

The Aggies won over Milwaukee 3-1.

Didn’t check any other scores.

UTA beats New Orleans (3-0), Prairie View A&M (3-1) and Lamar (3-2) at home. 2,800 saw all three games combined. The Mavericks start conference play Saturday at GCU with a record of 8-4 and a six-match winning streak.

NMSU enters WAC play with a 7-4 record.
Wins - Alabama St, LIU, Lindenwood, Davidson, NC A&T, UCSB, UW-Milwaukee
Losses - Arizona, UCSB, USC, SJSU

UTRGV and Cal Baptist come to town this week.

So sad for ACU women. I understand that after sweeping the first two sets against TCU, the ladies had set point to sweep the match... but then lost the whole match, 2-3. Those kinds of things are like missing a two foot putt on the last hole and then losing the playoff -- devastating.

And I watched every second of that one with great satisfaction. But if you don't mind my saying it, it looked to me like a case of the Aggies having an off night, more than our team being particularly good. We gave up a set to Tarleton a few days later, and no way are they better than NMSU.

I think that UTRGV is a lot better, and NMSU did not think they were that much improved. I like the competitiveness in the WAC this season.
