With the Playoff taking top 6 conference champs regardless of P5/G5 designation, it would make sense.

I think it was a terrible day for the league. What was good about it?

Assuming Memphis loses, AAC went 3-6, the wins coming over UMass, UTSA and North Texas. That is bad, imo.

Well again I said meh, which on a 1-10 scale probably registers as 3.5, so the bad definitely outweighed the good but there were some bright spots. ECU looked good against NCST. I think they'll have a chance against BYU later in the year. SMU looked much better than I expected so maybe they aren't going to drop off post Dykes. UH avoided upset. Tulane handled business. And Cincy did better than I thought they'd do.

RE: P6
The P6 branding doesn’t make much sense anymore. It served its purpose but it seems like Aresco has shifted his narrative to “We’re a P6, look at our success” to “We were a P6, and all our best teams leaving proves it”, it always seems to have a past tense. I truly hope the remaining P6 worthy teams get a life raft at some point.

I know for a fact we were approached to gauge our interest. CUSA was a disaster for us and we could not be in a better position in the SBC east division. It doesn’t get any better than that for us. Actually, the only conference that is better would be the ACC. And we just took down VT on national tv - in case you missed it. The AAC is going to morph slowly into a slightly prettier version of cusa. And the lack of success will follow.

"in case you missed it" - past tense | "The AAC is going to.." - Future tense

How can I miss something that hasn't happened yet? Your logic is flawed. Every C-USA team lobbied for an AAC invite, six were chosen. ODU wasn't one of them.

What color is the sky in your fantasy land? You couldn’t be more wrong about ODU. Also, you have not ascended. All you have done is dilute the AAC brand. Let’s revisit this conversion in five years after SMU and Memphis have left.

Perhaps, but the P6 campaign was on life support, at best, when UConn departed and the conference failed to replace them.

Upon seeing the title of this thread, my first thought was that it would be surprising to see a thread about the MWC on the AAC's message board.

However, unless Boise & Hawaii mount successful comebacks tonight, the MWC will only be 9-7 after Week 1, which isn't very "P6"-like.

I will take criticism from anyone today, except from a USF fan. As bad as we were, y'all were 10 times worse.

Where is the lie in my post. I stated facts. Every sentence was a fact. Point out the lie. You can’t so you just point toward the future.
