BULLS WELCOME RETURN OF THEIR OWN TO TAMPA
When the Bulls and Bison meet for the first time ever, it will mark a homecoming for four Howard coaches. Bison Head Coach Larry Scott was a member of USF’s original team, playing offensive tackle for the Bulls from 1997-99. The 2000 USF graduate went on to serve on the Bulls’ coaching staff from 2005-12, helping USF reach six-straight bowl games and climb to the No. 2 national ranking in 2007. Bison wide receiver coach Lindsey Lamar was a RB/WR/KR for the Bulls from 2009-12, earning Big East Special Teams Player of the Year honors in 2010. A 2012 USF graduate, he went on to serve on the coaching staff for four years (2015-19). Howard’s special teams/defensive line coach Vernon Hargreaves served on the USF coaching staff from 2010-12 in the same capacity and his son, Vernon III, was born in Tampa, played at Wharton HS and for the University of Florida, and was the No. 11 overall pick at cornerback by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2016 NFL Draft. Bison defensive coordinator Troy Douglas was on staff at USF as a secondary coach from 2006-08.

If Larry Scott beats Jeff Scott this weekend, USF should just hire Larry Scott and fire Jeff Scott.

That’s a lot of points and if USF takes a big lead most likely our back ups are put in. I think USF wins but something like 42-21 or so.

We certainly don't need any 'style points' to impress pollsters... and Scott is too classy to run up the score needlessly. I'd take the 35 points. On the converse, Scott needs to make this a definitive win, anything 'close' will just pile on to everyone already questioning his abilities... Will prob win in the 30 point range...

AntonioGrier our starting LB was held out for most of game last week but he is supposed to be fine. No injuries were reported

This is a team with new DC, OC, starting QB, entire DLine. It needs this type of game to work out the kinks, get experience playing together and get some success

I don’t know, but if two of those friends just happen to be named “William” and “Mary” then SoFlo better be on their A-game.
