App would not be a bad replacement for us after we hop to the B12 or PAC. Was hoping you guys could come along too, but ok.

RE: Make the switch
Not sure why everyone is dumping on Rice, they are 1-1 and handled business against their FCS opponent, which is more than other AAC or future AAC teams can say. They were added because they have lots of money and they’re a good university to be associated with.

Now Charlotte on the other hand, that’s a head scratcher.

Which AAC team or future AAC school lost to an FCS this year?

Not naming names, but...

I remember another little-team-that-could from NC that used to beat some big guys and everybody thought they would grow into a giant once they were given the chance in a major conference.

Now they're the freeloading brother in law that won't get off your couch and has flies buzzing around them.

I am less concerned about Charlotte losing to an FCS team than I am about them only drawing 12,000 fans when they were hosting a Big Ten team yesterday.

You already know the story about the bad AD and bad coaching hire so I'm not going to waste my time explaining it to you. But the new coach and new AD has righted the ship so come along and enjoy the ride while your still here.

Oh and the free loading ended last year. The little team that could has gotten off the coach and got his lunch pale, put his hard hat on and putting in some serious work.

It’s insane to me how people think one lucky win means something. Give me markets and academics all day long. These SunBelt schools are a flash in the pan, they don’t have markets or the academics capable of sustaining long term success. We need to move on from this line of thinking. If the SunBelt was a real conference then why did none of their schools move into the top 25 this week? Two top ten victories and don’t even scratch the top 25, that tells you every thing you need to know about the perception of that garbage conference.

I don’t come over here often, but I’ve noticed you’re not the brightest. Go read a book.

I would wager that once Charlotte expands their stadium and gets things turned around, things will change.

What's the point in expanding when you can't fill it as is?

I keep seeing you bleat this take but I have to ask, over the last ten years, which conference had better relative growth? The AAC or the SBC?

The AAC started with some of the strongest G5 programs in the nation, many knocking on the door of the P5 already. In 10 years you have grown and gotten a better media deal, that's true, but you already started well ahead of the game as a G5 conference. The relative improvement is not that high.

10 years ago the SBC was left for dead and making FCS callups. Flash forward to now they have a significant media deal, which just increased exposure even more, are poaching other conferences, and racking up top 10 wins. Being compared to the AAC right now, and the conversation of being the strongest G5 has already begun across the nation.

The AAC is taking a tremendous step backward next year. It will be 3-7 years before you can even reach again where you are NOW, after losing three of your best programs and taking 4 suboptimal ones.

Meanwhile the SBC has incredible momentum and is nowhere near a plateau. Has sustained growth for 10 years and continues making strides

03-lmfao Well you don’t need to be on this board often to show you aren’t the brightest bulb in the room. Oh and by the way, I have read plenty of books, had a high paying job that has allowed me a great retirement.

So keep coming to this board to try to show your “ superiority “

People continue to confuse location with market share…

When “location” teams host a P5 opponent and less than 15k fans show up they clearly can’t claim the market.

Thanks for proving my point. Actually, your post did wonders for my point. No where did I claim superiority. I like some teams the AAC added.

Let me clarify, go read a book with some words.
