I’ve been a fan of this conference since long before my main team was invited. I hope some of you continue to be AAC fans as “alumni” and stick around here after this season. Or at least check in on weekends like this when we have a pretty ok OOC showing.
Rice for one really looks like all phases are (finally) clicking with an OC and DC both with NFL coaching experience and players in the system who can execute the schemes. Coming in to this I was worried we might be “behind schedule” but all three games have exceeded my expectations.

Tonight both of these programs got solid wins - especially Charlotte on the road. Both of these soon-to-be conference adds also beat Fun Belt teams. It's one week...one game...but you've earned some respect. Congrats!

Charlotte and Rice are not AAC members.
I know you mean well, but please let the fans of remaining AAC schools defer recognizing the reality of impending conference deterioration caused by Charlotte and Rice and others until next season.

I have not gathered stats for 2022 FB attendance yet. What do you think the results would show?
Charlotte is a buy game for many AAC schools - just like the "lowly Sunbelt" you denigrate without the slightest hint of self awareness which is unsurprising for a man or woman referring to themselves in the third person, LOL.
clt says Toby, MBB was under covid attendance restrictions last year.
Kevin, many AAC schools were under some form of CV-19 restrictions.
Care to cite Charlotte's 2019-2020 attendance before the CV-19 policy shutdowns?

Charlotte and Rice Football Week Three

Charlotte's win was impressive also. This just shows that Charlotte (the city) is better than Atlanta (the slum) in every way. I'm glad Atlanta State turned down the AAC!

Wow, props for not only getting four “rice” jokes in one paragraph… but pairing 3 I’d heard a million times with 1 completely original “pat”.
I do not think our opponent was expecting the new lo-carb version Cauliflower Rice last night!

RE: Charlotte and Rice Football Week Three
Congrats to Rice and UNCC for the big upsets. I’m not surprised Ul has taken a big step back given their losses but I am surprised at GSU dropping one at home. Enjoy it, hopefully next year we do better vs the AAC/Cusa
