Thank God that I am a diehard SF Giants fan living in Va with the MLB Extra Innings package. I am used to 10:15 starts.

I wonder if anyone still thinks that ESPN doesn't have too much control of college football? Sure, the NCAA supports it because the NCAA makes money from ESPN. That money then goes straight into the Power5 pot.

I looked at Richmond’s travel to Sac State, and it looks like they flew out Thursday evening. I hope we fly out at least two days prior, if not more. The late start, temperature, and elevation are things that an extra day or two would be great to have. I realize that starts getting pricey, but IMO would be a great use of any special fund there is.

It is going to be a war of two run heavy offense.

When are finals? How do players needing to take finals play into when the team can travel?

It’s a very tall task to study and take finals, travel to Montana with the time change, elevation, and cold weather to face a very good team with a dynamic and unique offense that used a lot of two qb sets yesterday that you won’t have much time to prep for on a short week.

However, I believe in our guys and coaching staff and we’re playing really good ball. I believe in these guys!

You would have thought we were a passing team after the game yesterday. Gardner Webb tried to stop the run and we just threw over top of their DBs all game. It wasn't just the WRs either. Lester and McEllwain got behind their guys too.

Oof. I get why they do this time, but with two small kids that really like to watch the games this sucks.

Well, there has to be a typo somewhere. Most social media outlets are reporting us having the late game Friday night. But they also talk about UIW/Sac St at 10:30 am on Saturday, which doesn't sound realistic for a west coast start time. I'm starting to think the ESPN app is right and the Sac St game is 10:30pm Friday, and Montana st/W&M is the later game on Saturday.

Now listed. Late Friday game it is. I guess they didn't want the little old fcs to get in the way of their other Saturday FBS broadcasts

Yep, now confirmed. Agree they pushed out games to Friday so the big boys can get airtime on Saturday.

Hopefully many local places will have parties also!

The problem is the Army Navy game at 3:00 on Saturday. Not a good look to counter program against that. I’m not sure why the we couldn’t play our game Saturday night.

Yeah, I don't get this. Maybe there is a unwritten agreement not to program against the service school game. Doesn't stop the D2 or D3 semis from being played all day Saturday. Even if not going against army/navy, why not Saturday evening? Basketball game conflicts on espn? I thought maybe they didn't want each fcs quarter game to conflict each other, but then they have Sac st/UIW & MS/WM concurrent late Friday.
If espn has any interest in getting eyes on the FCS quarters, why schedule 2 of your games at 10:30pm ET? Effectively loses all east coast casual viewership.
