Turns out the NFTs are, for the most part, are chock full of digital images ripped off from various sources. One was a duster ad in Amazon from Scully Sportswear, one from a waders company calls Branded, one from Men's Wearhouse. One appears to be a shutterstock image, among may other poses that have been identified.
Background to some extent in various places, including here:

Not just that, but various rights images holders are now looking for counsel, and in some cases already retained counsel for legal action.
I know that because I know some of the attorneys that have been approached, or have taken on one or more clients.
The *best* thing is that the images are easily shown to be ripped off. The second best thing is that damages are profits, or an election of statutory damages between $750 and $30,000 per infringing copy.
Lolz.
Cant even do an NFT on the up and up. Actually in this case, he grifted the copyright violator. If it can be shown he had 'production approval', there is the possibility of contributory liability for the Donald entity that licensed the DJT image.
And, whatever rights in the NFT that might exist, will most likely disappear with a favorable outcome to the copyright holder. $99 bucks not just for an NFT, but an infringing NFT. Lolz. Born every minute.
