Men's game 13: Elon
Our new game #13 with Fairfield being postponed, we start off conference play with Elon. Elon is not only one of the worst teams in conference this season, they are one of the worst in all of DI. Hopefully that means its a great way to start off the conference slate. Elon is 2-11 on the season and ranked 350 in NET (out of 363). They are still without a DI win. They have stayed close with some games, but havent been able to put it together and grab that first win. They have been playing a lot of guys trying to find something (or someone) that works. They have 9 regulars playing double digit minutes. 6 players averaging 9 points or more. Sean Halloran is their best play to date. He is scoring 13 points a game while also leading the team in assists (5 per game) and steal (2.2 per game). He is a tremendous FT shooter at 91% but doesnt shoot particularly well elsewhere. As a team, nearly half of Elon's shots are from 3. Keep them inefficient from there and you should be able to win. However if they get hot, they certainly can win some games.

Elon- 65
Drexel- 78

Good game today. I was a little bit nervous early in the 2nd half, but Drexel showed that they were the more athletic team and managed to pull away with good 3 point shooting.

Nice crowd today considering that students were on break. Crowd listed at over a thousand, while the entire student section was empty.

Dan10 and Vegas both nailed the scoring margin.
Dan predicts a 13 point win
Vegas forecasts a 11.5 point spread
Dragons win by 12

Was definitely a sluggish game. Our guards did hit some shots which is awesome. Hopefully it can continue. Elon is not good, so glad we didnt slip up at home, though it was closer than desirable.
