Men's game 25: @Delaware
Both teams lost to Monmouth this past week. Delaware has lost 3 of 4 since losing ot us. They are not going in the right direction and currently sit in a tie for 9th at 4-8 a half game out of last. They are not a good team, but they have 2 talented players. Davis and Nelson Jr. Take either away and they are left with little else. Do we have anyone to stop either of those guys? Can Drexel rebound on the road after a dreadful road showing last week? I would expect the game to be close down the stretch, as most DU/UD games seemingly do. 4th place is realistically out of reach, but would be nice to finish strong. This is one of the winnable ones left on our schedule. The 3 that follow this one will likely be losses. Give me Delaware in a coin flip. Would always be nice to get the sweep. Give me Davis with 24 points and 21 boards leading the way

DU- 68
UD- 74

You led by 14 with 3 minutes left and held on to win 58-54. Yame Butler led you with 17 points. Delaware's Jyare Davis did not play.

That was an insane final minute but fortunately Drexel had enough of a lead to not let it kill then in the end. That might have just been one of these games where Drexel was actually able to take advantage of playing a beaten up, shorthanded team. Delaware's shooting was terrible until the final minute. Great to sweep Delaware this year...I think it's the first time since 2012 that they did that, not sure. Still doesn't take the sting out of those 3 bad losses, but still nice to see them get a very rare CAA road win.

No Davis for Delaware. We had no excuses. This was not a good effort at all. Yes we won after trying to blow a big lead late, again, but the overall effort was subpar at best throughout. First time we swept Delaware in 12 years. We were lucky we were playing a bad team last night that wanted to lose more than we did. With Moore out our offensive struggles were as obvious as ever. We dont have someone who can get to the bucket and get a basket for us. Yame did well when given a chance, as he has done for weeks. Spiker just doesnt give him a chance (likely due to his defense). But if the team cant score and needs a spark he needs to be getting the call regardless of his defensive skills.

Hopefully Bergens is ok, but it didnt look good so may not have any choice but to give Yame big runs. Moore showed his value by not being out there. Ill parrot what everyone else sees and says, we need to play faster. Simple as that. We look far better when we go faster.
