Men's game 26: Towson
We get the return game to the DAC on Saturday, this time Holden has returned for Towson. They are sitting at 9-3 and look like one of the clear top 3 teams. Their shooters seem to go crazy against us like Timberlake. I still look at the Thompson/Amari matchup as one of the best in this league. Amari did his job in the last matchup and we will lost. Not sure if Moore returns and the severity of Bergen's injury. Without both we will see the Yame show at point guard. If anything happens to him like foul trouble or inability to defend, then this will be a long game

Same prediction with the Charleston game, they may lose, but won't get blown out. Spiker's teams just don't get blown out at the DAC. They might be trailing by 20 with 5 minutes left, but they'll work it down to single digits. Even when his teams are playing poorly, they just don't quit.

Dan10,
Next home game...Thursday against dub, make sure to predict a 30 point loss. I'll counter your prediction with a 5 point loss. This seems to be working...

DAC Magic continues this afternoon. our men's and women's teams are a combined 22-2 at the DAC this season, and this season has been full of so many magical moments. Today was another great DAC moment. They stayed with the preseason favorites the entire game and did so basically without 3 point guards. Butler has really showed up to prove to Spiker that he can play and hopefully he becomes that secret weapon that can really help the team down the stretch.

They may have beaten the top three teams they played, but they haven't played Hofstra, and they go to Hofstra on Monday.

I just dont get this team. No point guard and we beat Towson? Towson is better on a good day and not a good match up for us, and a full squad towson team lost to a heavily depleted Drexel team. Almost a firable offense for Skerry. Also knowing your opponent has no ball handlers, why wouldnt you press the crap out of us? We would have turned it over a lot. Coaching head scratchers to me. Glad we got a win. Hard to believe a team loses to Stony Brook, Monmouth and Elon has any shot at a bye, but its certainly a possibility

Also dont worry JB, the next 2 will be predicted losses as well, and Hofstra will certainly be a big number. UNCW likely as well due to match up.

It's all about the home/away splits with this team. They are a completely different team at home vs. away. The opponent doesn't seem to matter.

RE: Men's game 26: Towson
Your post makes me wish you could get splits for NCAA teams. Many teams in top conferences have their home winning percentage so much better than their away winning percentage not just because they play better at home, but because nonconference games make their home schedule easier than their away schedule. Big examples are rivals Duke and North Carolina. At home, Duke is 12-0, and North Carolina is 11-1. Away, both are 2-6. The ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC combine to have 76 teams, and 25 (33 percent) of them have a home winning percentage at least .500 higher than their away winning percentage. The CAA differences of home winning percentage minus away winning percentage are:

Drexel: 11/13 - 3/10 = .546
William & Mary: 8/13 - 1/13 = .538
Delaware: 8/13 - 2/11 = .434
Hampton: 5/11 - 1/11 = .364
North Carolina A&T: 7/11 - 4/12 = .303
Stony Brook: 6/12 - 3/13 = .269
UNCW: 10/12 - 7/12 = .250
Hofstra: 8/9 - 9/14 = .246
Towson: 8/10 - 7/12 = .217
Elon: 4/11 - 2/13 = .210
Northeastern: 4/10 - 3/12 = .150
Charleston: 14/15 - 10/12 = .100
Monmouth: 2/11 - 3/12 = -.018*
The mean is .278, and the median is .250.

* 12 of 363 teams have a higher winning percentage away than home.

So what is it gonna take to get the CAA tourney moved to the DAC?

Funny. But the women got the CAA Tournament at the DAC twice in the past 5 years and it sort of backfired. They lost in the championship game both times, and both Drexel teams were the #1 seed.
