After a satisfying win over Marshall in the quarterfinals the Dukes take on the ODU Monarchs today in the semifinals. ODU slipped into the game due to an egregious missed call by the officials in their game Friday against Troy (had 6 players on the court with a 1 pt lead while throwing the ball in. Should have been a Technical and Troy ball but I digress). The Dukes won both regular season games against ODU but the second game at ODU was an OT thriller.

Going to be a tough game today but if the Dukes play like they did on Friday a win should be recorded.

Man, not shooting well at all but defense making up for it. Just need to heat up before the butterflies do.

Ugly first quarter for both teams. No shots falling. Dukes up 9-8 heading to the second quarter

2 fouls on Young and Jackson for ODU.

Pathetic start.

Team is playing stupid, timid basketball.

Sometimes it is hard to watch womens basketball. This is one of those times. Extremely ugly execution by both teams.

King-Haewa has really stepped up as the year has gone on.

I questioned her high recruting ranking earlier in the year, but she was clearly still recovering from injury.

she is showing up now. Very intelligent, versatile and crafty player. Giving real good minutes.

Shooting is still pretty bad for both teams. ODU has had troubles at the free throw line

It seems the team didn’t realize there was a game being played until about the 5 minute mark in the 2nd Qtr. And Kiki is yet to start playing.

Really question Coach O’s substitution pattern.

Yes…and Kiki should be attacking the basket to try and get ODU’s bigs in even more foul trouble.
