It's the NCAA dealing with Memphis. It's never timely or fair

I wouldn't say it's never fair. The IARP result was certainly fair. I would say it's always inconsistent, and as a rule, the NCAA tends to be harsher with us than with P5 programs. And yes, they are typically slow to decide anything.

We turned in the paperwork to the NCAA last Friday, after Williams' attorney finished gathering evidence and stating his case.

Now it's completely up to the NCAA. The typical path is they will reject it out of hand, we will appeal, then they will take a closer look and finally make a decision.

Hoping Linguard will be able to play this year (since he didn't play a minute last season), but the roster of the AAC's favorite unwanted stepchild looks this way so far...

Nazar Mahmoud 6'5, 180 Fr. Guard
Jordan Ivy-Curry 6'3, 175 Jr. Guard
Dre Fuller Jr 6'6", 220 Grad Student Guard transfer from UCF
Adante' Holiman 6'0", 175 So. Point Guard transfer from UTRGV
PJ Carter 6'5", 175 Jr. Guard transfer from Campbell/Georgia Highlands
Christian Tucker 6'3", 178 Jr. Guard
Justin Thomas 6'7", 180 Jr. Guard transfer from Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Isaiah Wyatt 6'4", 220 RS Jr. Guard/Forward transfer from Chadron State
Blessing Adesipe 6'6", 210 Jr. Guard/Forward transfer from Miles College

Chandler Cuthrell 6'8, 220 Jr. Forward transfer from Odessa College
Massal Diouf 6'9", 240 So. Forward

Trey Edmonds 6'10", 255 Jr. Forward/Center transfer from Utah Tech

Carlton Linguard Jr. 7'0", 225 RS Sr. Center transfer from K-State

Definitely doesn't strike fear into anyone, and without knowing much about so many of these transfers, or how quickly so many new faces could gel, I'm leaning towards those in italics as being guys who may receive the most minutes. I think we're halfway decent at Guard though, but weak (especially depth-wise) in the paint. I also think this is likely Henson's last year.

Only 3 players from the roster last season are on the roster this season...
Carlton Linguard Jr.
Massal Diouf
Christian Tucker

And of those three, Linguard got no PT at all, for whatever reason. So only two guys from this year's roster actually played for us last season. Jordan Ivy-Curry was with us two years ago, did a decent job, then transferred out last year, and then transferred back again for this coming season. So he, Massal Diouf, and Christian Tucker are literally the only guys I've seen play before.

Look at it this way...You can only go up. That's not a jab. We've all been there. Just know basketball is way more important than the sport is given credit for. UConn is being considered for the B12. It sure as hell ain't for football.

On one hand, most of these guys we have this year just don't move the needle for me. On the other, you do want a lot of turnover from teams that had back-to-back 10-win seasons. We'll see how it plays out. But like I said, it's very likely Coach Henson's final season because it's the last on his contract. So hopefully we'll see a more serviceable turnover next year.

You'll get there. I do think your program will make it happen. We've got some deadbeats that have never done ****. I dont think you guys will be like that. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Sounds like Memphis will be losing one of their touted transfers. Never a dull moment in Tigerland.

One can only hope that the lack of news is because the coaching staff is working hard to secure a second PG. I get the positionless basketball spiel (though I don't think it really works in college), but to be going on a foreign tour without an eligible PG on the roster seems like a giant whiff.

Leonard I think. I heard he was having grade issues. Not sure though.

Yeah, saw that a couple of days ago. I thought this might be someone else.
