Saw this as well. I found it interesting that the title included "mistake" and the inference was that the Lopes were at fault for not even knowing how to deliver their uniforms, etc. Of course, as all click bait titles go, the real truth gets buried within the article:
"This year in March Madness travel blunders: Grand Canyon arrived in Denver this afternoon, only to discover the airline it flew on didn't deliver its bags/uniforms/athletic gear, per a GCU spokesperson." So an airline messes up and it is a 'blunder' and 'mistake' by a university? I'm always fascinated by the current journalism in America today. What happened to the days when they just reported the facts and adding 'spin' was seen as unprofessional.

No matter what uniforms they wear (or they go skins verses shirts 02-13-banana), I just want them to represent the WAC well. I am not expecting a win, but I do not want a blow out either.

Breaking News: An airline lost someone's bags. Haha... I get that everyone covering the NCAA tournament is looking for storylines, but making a big deal out of this seems like a journalistic reach to me.

Complete click bait. But on a fun note, I saw a comment from someone at the University of Nebraska, Kearney saying that their bookstore is only five hours from Denver and it’s full of Lopes gear lol.

I don’t think GCU will get blown out. I don’t see Gonzaga as favorably as many seem to this year. I may be wrong. But there are times where they just haven’t played that well this season. In other years, they’ve been a lot more consistent and a have looked unbeatable. I don’t see that this year.

Good luck to GCU.

I'm serious..07-coffee3

Serious question, but have they had a postseason non-conference tournament win before?

Yes. Serious question, is there a specific reason you didn’t just look it up?

Wow, just got back from breakfast and had to scold the kids for sounding like arseholes to each other doing this exact same thing.

My bad, forgot the WAC message boards aren’t like other message boards and people are encouraged not to post on here.

At least someone feels something about us. No one knows what a Tarleton is.

Nope, probably nobody knows who we are, but maybe in 40 years, we’ll have a Sweet 16 appearance, and we can be on your level.

Final Fours don't count anymore? Is a Sweet Sixteen better than a Final Four? Asking for a friend...

Hope you are right. I think 9 times out of 10, Gonzaga takes down the Lopes. But there is always that one time! Here's hoping GCU shoots the lights out on the three-point line and Gonzaga has an off night.

The last time I saw Gonzaga play, they only lead by 11 seconds before halftime and the other team narrowly missed a 3 in the closing seconds. The other team was Chicago State.

Watching that half of Gonzaga basketball showed me how bad they could play at times. If it were GCU playing them that night, the Lopes would have had a nice cushion. Possibly enough to withstand whatever second half push they might have. Unlike Chicago State, GCU has more than 7 players who get more than 3 minutes a game and can actually substitute.

Plenty of 14’s and 15’s get wins.

Let’s hope Utah Valley can win and help salvage the post season for the WAC. We’re close to being done here.

UVU is doing well, leading in the second half against Colorado by 8. Playing on CU's home court. Let go Wolferines! Scale the peak!!!

Coming down to it! I’m mad at myself- I got lulled into staying on an ncaa game, forgot to click over and missed most of the first half of UVU. And I wasn’t even watching a game I care about…

Three Cheers for UVU who played a fine game against Colorado. Woodbury really put on a show. Love to see the WAC beat a PAC10 team. UVU 81-69 over the Buffs.

I love watching UVU play. And this is more like Woodbury looked like in previous years, since he didn’t play much last season.

The win is nice, but honestly, neither New Mexico or Colorado are very good teams. They have both lost a ton of games. As has Cincinnati at 23-12. UNM, Colorado, Cincinnati, and UVU are all right within about 10 spots in the NET.

In Orem, I’m giving the edge to UVU. And I really hope hosting this game might bring out some of the more casual fans and propel them to get back to some bigger crowds like they’ve had in the past. For as good as they were, their attendance really wasn’t great this year.
