Cincy has some very dynamic players and can really shoot well. And, they really play defense. I thought the game was a toss up and suspect the home court helped the winner. Good job on both sides.

I don’t think the home court made much difference. UVU has more road wins this season than any other school in D1.

I’ve seen almost every UVU game and this group is a pure pleasure to watch. The Woodbury dunks, the Bandaogo blocks, and all of the alley oops…. At this point of the season, how they can have this many dunks in a game is a testament to how well these guys play together. This isn’t something that happens with all of these mercenary teams of 10-12 new players every season.

You are right Todor, a team does not make the passes UVU made unless they have played together (and for each other) more than most. Those passes to dunks were things of beauty. Woodbury is certainly a different level of player who somehow pulls his teammates forward. I had not seen many UVU games, maybe two or three, but last night was a real performance. How will they hang onto their coach???

Perhaps an overlooked stat was how balanced the scoring was for their starters. Four were in double figures and one was at 9 points. That is pretty rare. Finally, Bandaogo made a real believer in me. The guy can play top notch defense but also shoots well and makes free throws--plus, his teammates did not hesitate to pass to him when they were pressed. He is an accomplished big man and two more years to play is pretty scary.

I thought they were the better team from start to finish last night. Bandaogo gave our center Vik more fits than I expected. Fuller made our PFs look second rate. Woodbury was the best player on the court. I've watched a lot of good players this year and I think this guy is good enough to be on a NBA roster next season.

It's unfortunate Cincy didn't give themselves the home game they deserved as the higher seed but that's no excuse for a performance where they were clearly second best. I'll be cheering for UVU to take the title home.

When does Stanford fire Hasse and hire Madsen?

The lob from well beyond half court was a thing of beauty. Simply amazing.

Akron did almost nothing with Bandaogo in 2 seasons. So sad. Madsen creates big men. Bandaogo is just getting going.

Aimaq was hurt most of the season after transferring to Texas Tech and is now in the transfer portal again. Hope Bandaogo appreciates what he has at UVU.

C-USA's Florida Atlantic wins 62-55 over Tennessee -- who predicted the Owls would be in the round of 8?

Added in Edit... I am speechless to think FAU is in the final four. I guess some money bettors make a killing on that one (and a lot lost money.) FAU deserves its progress. They are relentless and the big Russian Center is very unique. FAU beating K State is sort of proof that in basketball reliance on one player is not optimal. K State's star was throwing up shots in desparation and, while he was indeed a superstar, his desparation was part of FAU's success.
