Former UTA forward Dario Domingos exited the transfer portal to Tarleton.

I really enjoyed watching him and I’m sad to see him go.

So many teams get completely picked apart every off season now. I know some people say “it works both ways” and this is partially true, but only in a small way for most mid majors.

The sport is starting to lose some of its appeal for some by having so many totally new teams every season.

Whatever the success a team has in one season isn’t that exciting once most of the players move on. Instead of enjoying the off season and getting to look forward to a season with high hopes, now a lot of fans only have the occasional news reports about who entered the portal and a list of unknown names that are coming in.

The mercenary player movement is making college basketbal a lot less interesting to me. Watching players over the course of their careers was something special about college hoops.

to be fair I liked Johnston too but Holiman to UTSA is really confusing too. Each their own.

I realize this is a basketball transfer thread but we just got a WR from Utah Tech. Joey Hobert. I know there's no Utah Tech fans to chime in but I'm sure some of y'all saw him play against your team. Any idea what we're getting here?

Yeah, I am not sold on that transfer either but I will get a good chuckle out if both programs schedule each other.

In about a week, Chendall Weaver entered the portal, then exited with UTexas-Austin as his destination.

The NCAA better get a fix on the tampering problem.

Do not fix the tampering as that will always happen but do fix the portal though.

No school should be able to recruit scholarshipped "student athletes" from other schools.

Defensive stopper. That's his main skill. Can shoot the occasional three. He drove hard to the basket all the time but seemed to always get his shot blocked.

Gordon was probably our best two-way player. Strong on defense and an adequate scorer. He either shoots baseline threes or drives to the basket. However, as PP points out, he has trouble finishing at the rim on occasion. If he gets off balance during his drive, he lacks the explosion to finish at the rim. But Gordon was a starter for NMSU most nights. He is a good add for UTA. He won't be your best scorer, but he will be productive.

While I'm a big fan of defense, we were fifth this year in defensive scoring out of 13 WAC teams. Offense was our struggle. We were 13 in scoring. We need to land a true scoring threat.

I think the guy from Georgia Tech is supposed to be a pretty good scorer.
