Tennessee expulsions
Watching ABC this morning, and the topic of the expulsions of two Tenn. lawmakers came up.

As expected, it is being cast as partisan and racist actions.

As far as partisan, I note that no Democrats were expelled that did not violate the rules. In fact, one was retained. I see nothing as partisan as the Trump-Russia ballyhoo or the selection of the 1-6 committee. As usual, Democrats were/are the very exemplars of hypocrisy.

They say the legislators were expelled for protesting. Makes as much sense as saying the Shaman went to prison for protesting.

As far as racist, it was not the GOP that forced the offending legislators to seize control and disrupt proceedings with a bull horn. The racial make up of the offenders was determined by them, and them alone. Are they the only two blacks in the legislature? I don’t know - but I do know they put themselves in this position.

The “evidence” for racism seems to be that the two black legislators were expelled, but not the white one. However, the statement is just as true if we note that the two males were expelled, but not the female one.

So what is it? They hate blacks or they hate males? There is equal evidence of both - and a lot of evidence of neither.
