racial prejudice or…?

Is this racial prejudice or just a difference in custom between the US and Jamaica?

There seems to be no restriction on black people not from the US.

There has been some talk of here recently about the media pushing stories that somehow fit their agenda. Without the biased media pushing these stories, this narrative would not necessarily be something on our radars.

I wonder what “they” want us to get out of this particular story that seems to be popping up quite a bit, despite it being a relatively random n=1 thing.

I went back to see where this story came from. It was something called The Independent News, and I have no idea if that outlet is right, left, or truly independent.

Agree that various outlets push or suppress certain stories to fit their agenda. Watching a mix of CNN and Fox displays this well.

RE: Jamaica
One thing I was wondering is, what is the “free” stuff that is demanded? Toilet paper? Clean towels? Coffee refills?

I cannot imagine what freebies black Americans would demand that white Americans would not also demand.

Maybe it is just a “man bites dog” type of story. But to me, it opens up the possibility that actions normally automatically attributed to bigotry may in fact come from other motivations.

I'm not sure if you caught this or not, but the answer in MY mind is in your question.

The media is pushing stories that they WANT to be on our radars. If this story were something they wanted us to see, they would push it. I suspect though that this is part of one of their algorythms, where 'what you see' is a reflection of what they think you WANT to see.

There is a difference between what shows up on your MSN feed and what CNN or Fox puts on their broadcast or front page. I think there is SOME mix on the website front page... as in colums a and b are 'what they want us to know'... and column c is 'what their algorythm says will get you to click on their website front page'.

I mean, if Fox never has anything on their page to get you to click on it... either something so outrageous that you have to stop and watch the train wreck, or something where they carry some n=1 left leaning story that 'proves' a leftist narrative... how are they going to get you to click on it? 'outrage clicks' are just as valuable as 'interest clicks'.....
