I think you recruit these guys thinking that in a year or two they may hit the transfer portal and therefore you already have a recruiting relationship with them.

100%. This is the new era of recruiting.

One thing to understand is that not all offers are the same. A school can give and take away offers. Also- some of the offers are contingency plans.

Cool. Coach Brooks really has been a game changer for recruiting. We'll see if it translates into titles and tourneys, but recruiting is definitely at a new level.

Hope to see an announcement about a much-needed big man (center), or preferably two listed here soon.

Pounds took a grad year as well. I wonder if the staff believes its better to have these kids take a grad year rather than sit on the bench/redshirt the first year.

Yeah I would imagine so, not many dudes are getting better by just practicing. Though they are getting a better understanding of what it takes to play here during that freshman year and are getting better dietary advice and strength training.

It could be the way of the times. come here for a year and if you dont play, you leave. Might as well let them develop elsewhere.
