Yet pretty much every other G5 would kill for that average. Some of y'all really need to get some perspective on our attendance figures. That 39K is better than Cincinnati, Boston College, Wake Forest, Duke, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Maryland, Vandy, Northwestern and barely behind Louisville, Syracuse and Virginia.

I have no problem with app. They own the all time series against us, they won at the fcs level, they have won in the sun belt and have won their bowl games. They have an active and good fan base and could expand their stadium I’d sure if needed.

I’m not worried what other g5 schools are doing. From 2007-2015 it was close to capacity every game. We have an overrated fan base but at the same time we haven’t finished a season ranked in both polls in 32 years so it’s still remarkable we have the support we do. I’ve said the same about basketball. We have really good crowds considering how bad we are historically

Good for App, glad they care enough to charge so much for that game. I'm sure it's going to be a great weekend for their bottom line and the local economy. Nothing wrong with that.

In no way underrated, but we were spoiled with great crowds and now reality has set in that we are stuck in this conference and likely 6-8 wins is our ceiling. We have a good fan base and attendance for our mediocre history but it’s not good enough for smack talk

You should probably give up the football smack talk and go back to counting the # of beds on campus and measuring the runway at Pitt county international so you have debate points with your new primary rival

What? That wasn't smack talk. I think that is a great FCS schedule. Some FCS national champions, FCS playoff teams, etc. Also a nice mix of P5 programs, one at home no-less. Great schedule. What am I missing?

This is the whole regional matchups theory. Not that it wouldn’t be a big game but ECU vs. App whether in a Boone or Greenville will draw more every time than (for the sake of not bringing back up the conference you know what measuring contest) ECU or App vs. Boise State who is a prominent name in the G5. Both fan bases are nearby and care. It’s great for the state. Even Charlotte games against Charlotte are better for both of us than games against let’s say Utah State. More fans will show up from Charlotte than would Utah State and both fan bases have a close game they can travel to. Point being, yes App and ECU are on a different level than Charlotte when it comes to fan support and on field product but no matter the scenario, when App, ECU and Charlotte play each other, it’s great for the state, the fans and the universities.

And you've hit the nail squarely on the head, the decline started with Mo and hasn't recovered. There are lots of factors that have further contributed to it in the mean time but that's when it kicked off. Maybe it'll pick back up this year, but I'm not holding my breath.

The point is that it's absolutely insane to have a $130 ticket price for that game. When App comes to ECU next year I assure you tickets will not be anywhere close to that. If App can do it great. And I truly mean no offense, but we just don't care enough to put that kind of price on a ticket for us to play App.

Now go back to your board and talk about how bad we suck and how awful our attendance is. I promise we won't follow you

Supply and demand. We have less seats in our stadium so we can charge more or a premium because we know it’ll sell out regardless. Either way, I won’t talk about how bad you suck or how awful your attendance is because you don’t suck and god knows your attendance isn’t bad. It’s tops in the G5. Keep doing you.
