Epic Big 10 rivalry week
I think the Big 10 should position themselves to have an epic rivalry week by avoiding playing more than 1 conference game at a time:

Fri Noon: Rutgers vs Maryland
Fri 3:30: Illinois vs Northwestern
Fri 8:00: Iowa vs Nebraska

Sat Noon: Ohio St vs Mich
Sat Noon: Indiana vs Purdue
Sat 3:30: Wisc vs Minn
Sat 3:30: Penn St v s Mich St
Sat 8:00: USC vs UCLA
Sat 10:30: Wash vs Ore

If you moved a game to Thursday, they could make it through the whole weekend with only doubling up on a time slot once.

Muskie, I like the way you're thinking, but as a Terp, Fri at noon...OUCH!! Although, it is better than fighting the NFL on Thursday.

Someone has to get the crappy slots—it would seem logical to put the biggest games in the best slots.

Absolutely! You're right. Honestly, I lost site that it would be on "black friday". I take my previous post back, I like everything about this set-up.

and yeah, I know, until Rutgers and the Terps both do something to change it, that game should be expected as the lowest rated B1G game of the week each year

Move Indiana-Purdue to Turkey Day, and you just might have something there Muskie!!! Schedule it either before the Thanksgiving NFL games or after them, IMO.

Rutgers vs Maryland. The rivalry that neither side wants, but both sides need to happen.

A Thanksgiving game would be nice—the NFL kind of owns that day though. Maybe there’s a pair of Big 10 schools who’d decide to make that day their tradition. It’s just tough to start a new tradition from scratch, especially when it’s for pure financial gain.

Well said. I look forward to the day that our fan bases completely despise each other. 04-cheers
