It’s not nearly as funny as drawing 4000 then telling people that were 15k there.
Sam’s crowd Thursday was larger than ANY Tarleton crowd I’ve seen. I don’t think a single person has sat in those hideous new endzone seats yet!
Thursday night’s sellout crowd on ESPNU was further validation that CUSA made the right move selecting SAM over Turleton.
This is my final say on the attendance matter...Fact: the NCAA actually monitors and audits these things. If anybody is cheating or fudging their numbers, it will all come out in the wash. Also Fact: Tarleton is already lightyears ahead of Scam Houston in attendance, facilities and fan support. If anybody does get audited, it ain't gonna be Tarleton!
Also, last time I will comment on this: We were not "selected" by CUSA in 2021 because we were in the middle of transition. We started transition, we have to finish transition. Period. Rules is rules. Scam was selected purely out of convenience and necessity. Yes, it probably helped their cause by winning that "natty" during Covid year playing a lame duck half-schedule, and it took them 50 YEARS of D1 play to even get that. I'm confident CUSA is already regretting its decision to add Scam, and I think Scam's time in FBS will be short lived. Everything that made Scam look like a viable candidate was just smoke and mirrors. And that's becoming more and more evident every week. Again, it all comes out in the wash!
Feel like we’ve seen this year after year. Offensive production declining as the season advances. Teams have us figured out and shut us down with ease. They call this an air raid offense, but 2 runs up the middle and then a pass two yards out of bounds 30 yards down the sideline is an air raid?
Also, whoever thought letting Guzman handle the punting duties should probably be fired. Punting is not his jam.
Southern Utah at 1-4 is so deceiving. They may be the 2nd best team in the conference. They whoop us this week.
And what’s up with Darius Cooper? He’s healthy enough to jump around and dance on the sideline the last two home games but he can’t play? Not that we could get him the ball anyways.

Tarleton got another high rating on the Microsoft Start Home Page... Nationally Tarleton State University was ranked the 5th highest rated party school in the Nation. That is not the Tarleton I remember from the past. Has more DFW area students elevated the party scene? Not sure I believe those Microsoft school ratings... they feel like click bait. The WAC seems a bit more serious top to bottom.

If Texas State isn’t there, then yes, those rankings are clickbait.

You are clearly right about Texas State... and it was not on the list so let's throw that ranking out.

I know for a fact Tarleton parties, but probably not any more than any other public school. I had a bunch of older cousins that showed me the ropes there. They even had to deal with it being a dry county then. But yeah there's literally nothing else to do in Stephenville so why not drink? Lol

One of the wildest drunken nights I ever had (and I had many) was my recruit trip to ACU. True story.

Not much to do in any College town outside the big Metro areas. Once you tube once or twice, don’t you just go to Austin. Not picking on Texas State, but Bobcats don’t hang out in San Marcos. What’s in Abilene? What’s in Nacodoches? What’s in Huntsville? Etc., etc.
Party School rankings are so very dumb. Every school is a party school.

My gf said when she went to Tarleton they had to drive an hour to Weatherford just to go to the movies. San Marcos definitely has the basics. Movies, bowling, shopping, good variety of restaurants, tons of bar options, and lots to do outside.
I grew up in a town of 1k so it was very nice to have all of that stuff in one place.

Stephenville has had at least one movie theater since 1930. How old is your girlfriend?:)

Around 80 lol. She said there was a movie theater but that it was super small so they preferred to make the drive to Weatherford
