NU picks up another 2024 commit…

New @GoNUwbasketball commit: Alyssa Staten! A 6’4” center from Georgia, Staten is the second commit in the Huskies class of 2024. 

Congrats to Alyssa and best of luck at NU next year.

Coach Edwards-Lloyd’s first two commitments are 6’1” and 6’4”.

She averaged 14.3 ppg and14.2 rpg as a junior. It doesn't look like anyone is going to push Alyssa around in the post! Her stats have shown big improvements every year.

I have Alyssa as our third 2024 recruit. The others are:

Maya Summerville from Morristo wn, NJ. 6' forward. 12.3 ppg. 9.9 rpg and 3.7 bpg.

Taylor Holohan from Averal Park, N Y 6' G/F. 18ppg. 9.5 rpg. 6.2 bpg and 3.7 spg.

Hadn't seen anything on Summerville...

Of the two Summerville is described as a rebounding force on both ends. Taylor's stats may look better but she's from a little town od 2,000. Maya plays for a city ten times as big and in a much tougher league.

After starting the season 2-0, NU lost their first game at BC 67-58 on Sunday.

NU committed a whopping 31 turnovers, allowing BC to score 33 points off those TO's - and that was the story of the game.

Derin Erdogan had 15 pts and Maddie Vizza had 12.

NU is back at Cabot on Thursday vs. Merrimack the game will be on NESN.
