Not trying to tank JMU's point total, but I'd think a conf championship should be worth at least a few points if not half what the season champ gets. IDK, maybe it's weighted depending on the sport- for example the fb championship doesn't get as many as the basketball because in basketball you have to run a gauntlet and win several games vs one game. Conf championships are often weighted more than regular season champs by getting auto-bids for example.

The standings are in reverse standings order (Troy gets 14 points, ULM gets 1 for FB; then any postseason championships get a bonus point.

Sure, I get that. I’m saying for winning basketball or other championship tournaments you should get more than 1 point. Winning 3 or more games including what should be the second best team, is worth at least 5 points in my opinion.

Things are shaping up very nicely for TXST to win the Cup again.

Looks like the race will be between JMU and TXST, and if the Bobcats are within 15 points after Tennis and Golf, they have the firepower to pass JMU just in Outdoor T&F alone. Will gain points in SB as well, and Baseball will be pretty tight.

USA has an outside chance, depending on how their Men's Golf performs.

A lackluster tennis season for JMU has opened the door, but I think JMU will gain on TXST when softball and baseball conclude given JMU's ending schedules are more favorable in both.

It will probably be a wash in the diamond sports, as TXST will gain in SB and JMU in BB.

Outdoor Track and Field will determine the Cup winner, how many points will TXST collect ?

Not sure about USA but Astate has to be one of the favorites in Mens and Womens Outdoor T&F

TXST should finish top 3 in WT&F. Probably top 4 in MT&F. Men finished 4th indoor but I think their outdoor squad is better. There were 7 indoor men's teams. Not sure on outdoor but I think 10.
Regardless, TXST will have pulled way up from where we were a couple months ago.
