20-10 for the Flashes is better than 0-0, but there's quite a bit of #MACtion behind those 30 points.

Nice win for BGSU to move to 5-4 on the season.

Ball State is better than their record. They tried to do to us what Miami did to us: Run the ball and try to make the little chunks add up. It almost worked. They had a 17-play TD drive in the second quarter.
A win is a win, though. Kent State up next.

Yeah, Kent State is up next ... who had a 17 point lead in the Wagon Wheel, but losing our left tackle and best receiver left us without enough to hold it ... we needed to sustain one more drive in the 2nd half to win.
When the elder statesman on your offensive line is a red shirt sophomore, and then he goes out with an injury, that's makes it sound like the folks talking about a rebuilding year just might be onto something.

Yikes indeed.
When your best players all transferred away after your previous coach was hired away, sometimes there is a lot of daylight between #1 and #2 on your depth chart. We wouldn't have had the 21 point lead at the end of the first half if it weren't for our best receiver and our starting left tackle, and when they went out, we just couldn't hold it.
That's why good left tackles make the money in the pros ... after you paid all that money for that franchise QB, now you got to protect him.

NIU announced three unnamed players to be suspended for first half of BSU game. Did CMU issue any suspensions?

Was only following via Gamecast online but can someone tell me how on earth BG’s QB could take a sack on their final possession in that particular scenario?

As I remember it, it was third and fairly long, and Connor Bazelak hung onto the ball a little bit too long trying to make a play downfield. If he could have made a play, the Falcons would have sealed the game right there.

It was 4th down though. So they elected not to try a FG. Fair enough. But then QB can do literally anything except take a sack. Toss a pick, throw it away, but a sack seemed odd to me. What can ya do, though?

Good point. I think Bazelak has gotten better as the season has gone on, but he still has room to grow.
